Paul McCartney typifies the yellow colour group and survival instinct in both his attitude and life themes. Born James Paul McCartney on the 18th June 1942, he has achieved in one lifetime almost all that is possible in the field of the arts to accomplish. His works include film scores, poetry and painting, as well as musical works in classical, ambient and electronic styles. On top of this is a contemporary solo career, Wings and of course The Beatles. Paul McCartney is a phenomenon who has used his natural yellow talents to their maximum capacity.

People in the yellow colour group are dominant in outward motion which pushes forward constantly. Paul McCartney is yellow and as a result is continually expanding ideas and boundaries. Like many yellow people, Paul McCartney is always on the look out for new ideas and opportunities because yellow is the trader.

Paul McCartney is listed in Guinness World Records as the most successful musician and composer in popular music history, with 60 gold discs and sales of 100 million singles. His song "Yesterday" is listed as the most covered song in history - by over 3,700 artists so far - and has been played more than 7,000,000 times on television and radio in America alone.

In his youth Paul McCartney was one of only three people to gain admission to the Liverpool Institute – there were ninety examinees. The trader is a traditional role that has survived by providing the community with trade goods and other needs. In order for the trader to be successful, nature has given people who belong to this colour group a number of instinctive traits. One of these traits is an active and restless mind that is always on the lookout for new ideas. This trait would become obvious as time progressed.

Paul McCartney’s entry into music began when his father bought him a trumpet, which he later swapped for an acoustic guitar. Other bands in Liverpool were all playing the same cover songs, so typical of the trader, Paul decided that his band should start writing their own music because no one else was doing it.

The survival instinct of the trader is designed to look for opportunities and to seek out niches in order to survive. The trader tries to find an edge, a loop hole or gap that may prove advantageous. Deciding to write original material meant filling a market the other local bands were not. This is the yellow trader at work.

The Beatles played constantly in their early days in Hamburg. After becoming famous they would tour and work just as relentlessly. Exhaustion combined with a sense of futility by some of the members of the group, meant the Beatles would give up touring and focus on being a studio band. After the break-up of the Beatles, it was Paul McCartney who was the first involved in an outside project, by releasing his first solo album one week after the break-up.

In the 1970’s Paul McCartney formed Wings and once more began touring the world. Wings were immensely successful. Historically, the trader travelled the world seeking opportunity and enterprise. This lifestyle is what many yellow people call home. Rather than being drained or exhausted by constant movement and work, the trader revels in this lifestyle and can become dull if they are forced to stay in one place.

Paul McCartney relished the chance to participate in something new and experimental. He continues to enjoy visual arts as well as music and is a patron of everything from the conventional to the avant-garde. The trader often leads the way and is first to explore new ideas. This trait is exemplified in his desire to explore and seek out other artists. Paul McCartney is the lead patron of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

The trader and money often go hand in hand. Paul McCartney is one of Britain’s wealthiest people with a fortune that is estimated between 400,000,000 to 800,000,000 pounds.
